Keyword Research

At first, relevance seems obvious: if you sell software for automation of corporate electronic marketing, you do not want to appear according to search queries that have nothing to do with your business, for example, “animal goods”. But, besides this, it should be taken into account for which companies you sell your product, in which territory and other no less important factors.

Competition. In SEO, you should also take into account potential costs and the likelihood of success. For SEO, this means an understanding of relative competition (and probability of ranking) by specific conditions.

First you need to understand who your potential customers are, and that they will most likely look for. If you still do not understand who your audience is, think. This is a good start not only for SEO, but also for business as a whole.

To better understand your audience, ask a few questions:

What interests them?

What are their problems?

What language do they use to describe the needs, enter a request?

Who else buy things or services from? (It can be your competitors. But, in addition, the answer to this question can give indirect clues in determining your target audience).

After you answer these questions, you will have the initial “source list” of possible keywords and domains. This list will help you get additional key options, determine the search volume and competition indicators.

Take a list of the main requests with which your potential customers and customers describe what you are doing and start introducing them into the tools of keywords

Search and distribution of keywords

The first step in search optimization is to correctly determine why you actually optimize it. This means the definition of requests that people are looking for or keywords by which you want your site to be ranked in search engines.

It sounds quite simple, right? I want my company to appear in the search when people are looking for “DVRs”, and perhaps when they introduce “buy a DVR”.

But in fact, not everything is as simple as it seems. When determining the key words by which you want to promote your site, you should take into account several key factors:

Search volume. The first factor that should be taken into account is the number of people (if any at all) that they are looking for this key word. The more people drive a keyword into the search, the wider the audience that you want to cover. And vice versa, if no one is searching for a key, then there is no audience that could find your content using a search.

Relevance. If some product or service is often looking for, this is wonderful. But what if this request is not completely relevant for your potential customers?
